Stage 1:When the first stage is not connected to the cylinder valve, the automatic closure device (ACD) keeps the intake closed to protect the internals of the first stage from contamination and condensation. Maintains internal lubrication. Keeps inlet filter clean and dry.
It is safer for mixtures with a higher percentage of oxygen
It offers exceptional performance in cold water. The integrated LEG3ND dry chamber keeps internal components clean and dry by isolating them from the external environment. Where there is no water and moisture, no ice forms. The deep fins form a large surface area for heat exchange, which helps prevent ice formation, and this compared to previous models (+30% more freeze resistance compared to Legend Glacia / +70% more freeze resistance compared to Legend 2 !!!). These are absolutely excellent values ! In addition, the new dry chamber cover slows down the formation of ice over the outer membrane
Automaticallybalanced first stage (also known as Over-Balanced). It gradually increases the mid-pressure with increasing depth, maintaining maximum optimization of the breathing cycle. Thus, depending on the diver's depth, the mid-pressure in the first stage is automatically increased to cope with the increased density of the breathing gas.
Ergonomically shaped DIN and YOKE screws, made of "Soft Grip" material, provide a better hold when installing or removing the first stage - especially with cold hands.
Special cap on theAutomatic Closure Device (ACD) screwed onto the DIN thread of the controller, serves to protect the thread and the ACD system from impact and other possible damage. Perfectly positioned 2x HP and 4x LP ports ensure optimal hose routing.
Stage 2:New second stage cover (shower) improves water routingthrough radial holes to the sides through the diaphragm. These holes also prevent freeflow when diving in stronger currents. The new design of the holes has reduced the water flow over the membraneby an impressive 20%.
The newly redesigned exhalation holes are made of a fine elastomer and the enlarged holes allow better access to the exhalation membrane and its eventual cleaning.
Patented Comfobite mouthpiece reduces jaw fatigue and provides a more comfortable and pleasing second-stage hold in the mouth. Deflector inside the mouthpiece directs the gas stream evenly into the mouth during the inhalation phase.
The removable and reusable mouthpiece clip allows for quick and easy mouthpiece replacement without tools.
