Manifold for sidemount configuration
This product has been designed for safe and simple media distribution for a sidemount system. It connects to standard medium pressure hoses and allows the diver to connect breathing media on both the left and right sides of the manifold and separate the left and right four ports by closing the valve.
- 8 inlet/outlet ports
- 4 ports on the right side (e.g. main automatic, inflator hose, inlet hose, rebreather hose)
- 4 ports on the left side (e.g. backup automatic, dry suit hose, input hose, rebreather hose)
- Isolator is the same as the classic manifold in the non-sidemount configuration
- Isolator open - media can pass to all 8 ports
- Isolator closed - the manifold is split into left and right sides (4 ports on each)
- The idea is the same as the DIR twins on the back (open during dive, all regulators and other hoses are open, separate during a crisis)
- Developed with low profile environments in mind - an extremely space saving system
- You can connect your existing hoses to a regulator, BCD, dry suit, rebreather (RB Diluent for mCCR and PSCR rebreathers)
- Isolation valve can be placed directly behind the diver's head, allowing very easy access (much easier than with conventional twins)
- Manifold offers 2 inlets and 6 outlets.
- Allows isolation to 1 input and 3 outputs on each side
Use is very similar to that of the manifold separable twins on the back. As a result, divers can configure their Sidemount system to be 100% compatible with the back-mount bottle system, the right side is primary and consists of a long hose, inflator hose and media inlet. The left side includes the backup regulator, dry suit hose and backup media inlet. When the Z-valve is open, all 8 ports are connected and the mixture can move freely between the left and right sides. If the diver runs into trouble, for example the main automatic fails, he can close the valve and disconnect the right side, thus eliminating the risk of losing all the gas on the left side. In this way, the manifold eliminates the risk of complete failure at a single point that is present with running manifolds.
