Description
The basic Mark V/Orca system is available in 2,500 lb (1,200 kg) and 4,400 lb (2,000 kg) versions and includes:
  • One enclosed lifting bag made of urethane coating 40 oz.
  • nylon fabric for high abrasion and fuel resistance
  • two 80 ft3 or 100 ft3 or 87 ft3 fiber-wrapped aluminum cylinders
  • pressure relief valves
  • inflatable manifold with hoses
  • storage strap

The system can be deployed by one diver from a remote location, for example, from an inflatable boat.It is designed to operate at full stroke capacity to a depth of 175 feet with a standard two-cylinder set and 330 feet with a four-cylinder set.

Subsalve products are made of durable urethane-coated nylon fabric. The nylon fabric has a breaking strength of over 1000 lbs. per inch and the urethane coating is resistant to fuels and most petrochemicals. Each Subsalve USA lifting bag is tested prior to shipment. Custom sizes available. All Subsalve USA products comply with IMCA D-016-AIRBAGS, ABS, U.S. Department of Defense Standards. The Mark V/Orca underwater explosive ordnance disposal system replaces the obsolete U.S. Navy Mark II Mod I flotation bladder (NSN #8465-00-992-6689), of which SUBSALVE has delivered more than 200 units over the past decade.The new Mark V/Orca system is approved by the U.S. Navy and used by more than 25 navies worldwide.
