Built-in Sensors - GNSS, 3-axis compass, altimeter, depth and temperature sensor, gyroscope, Elevate® optical wrist heart rate sensor. The watch can receive and work with signals from the three most widely used global satellite systems: the American GPS, the Russian GLONASS and the European Galileo. GPS remains the primary satellite system and satellite functions are thus often simplistically referred to as "GPS" in the description. The satellite signal is mainly used for the sports and navigation functions of watches. GPS is capable of reliably and accurately measuring position, speed, pace, distance, time and a range of derived quantities. The watch also uses GPS to display your current position on a map page and, if necessary, navigate to a specified destination along an automatic or pre-planned route.
BIRTH TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT - The improved optical sensor offers faster response and more accurate measurements, and is now also capable of measuring blood oxygenation. The watch also offers the option to connect an external ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart sensor. Optical measurement is continuous throughout the day and automatically measures and records data, including determining average resting heart rate. Optionally, heart rate measurement also works during dives (using the optics or chest strap). A detailed evaluation of the measured data is available in the app for Apple® or Android devices.
TOPOGRAPHIC AND HIKING MAPS - The watch comes with a TopoActive map with coverage of the whole of Europe and offers the possibility of routing routes with the selection of the most suitable route based on popularity trends and activity type (e.g. for running, cycling or hiking), creating circular routes according to the selected circuit length, or searching for points of interest in the immediate area. Ski maps include names and difficulty ratings for 2,000 resorts around the world.
Garmin Pay™ Contactless Payments - Contactless payments are one of the most exciting smartwatch features. It is possible to register a traditional credit card in the watch's virtual wallet (the condition is that the issuing bank supports Garmin Pay payments) and further pay with the watch instead of your regular credit card. The watch does not require the presence of the original payment card, nor does it require a mobile phone to be connected. The watch is completely standalone for payment. Payment security is provided by a PIN code that you choose when you activate your wallet. As long as you don't take the watch off your wrist, it only requires you to enter the PIN code the first time you make a payment. For all payments (even payments over CZK 500), there is no need to enter the PIN code at the merchant's payment terminal afterwards. Watch payments are more secure than regular credit cards. The reason is that for watch payments, the terminals do not send complete information about the card number and cardholder to each other. At the same time, the PIN is not entered at the payment terminal and there is no risk of its disclosure. At the same time, the watch is always at hand and closest to the payment terminal of all payment instruments. Payments by watch are thus very convenient and secure.
CLEAR NOTIFICATIONS - You can receive emails, text messages and notifications on the watch when you pair it with a compatible Apple or Android smartphone. When you connect your phone, incoming calls, texts and other notifications will appear on the watch display. From the watch display, you can control the music player on your phone, including setting the volume or skipping tracks. You can also monitor weather forecast information on the watch display, and you can set up phone numbers to send an emergency message if the watch automatically assesses that an accident has occurred. When incoming calls are displayed, not only the caller's number appears on the watch display, but also the name taken from the phone book.
